Estos eventos abarcan varios días y suelen estar estructurados en grillas formadas por: clases grupales, exhibiciones bailadas de los maestros, milongas, espectáculos, venta de productos y eventualmente muestras plásticas, films y charlas. Los más populares convocan gente de muy variada procedencia y promueven el carácter participativo. Los “protagonistas” de estos acontecimientos son los bailarines-maestros, en pareja o solistas, y la cantidad varía dependiendo de la magnitud del mismo, pero también los concurrentes cumplen un rol fundamental. El gran suceso de la danza del tango hoy es la experiencia propia. Para lo cual es necesaria una formación adecuada.
En algunas de estas propuestas abunda la variedad de profesores con su diversidad de estilos. A los alumnos, sobre todo los que están en los comienzos, se les puede presentar la dificultad para incorporar las diferentes técnicas de los enseñantes, que a veces parecieran opuestas en sus formas. De poder elegir las clases a tomar, una solución podría ser elegir instructores que mantengan una similitud estilística entre ellos, y que resulten complementarios en su esencia. Por otro parte, los organizadores intentan equilibrar la cantidad de hombres y mujeres inscriptos en las clases para que la posible diferencia no perjudique el traspaso de la información. Para lo cual suelen recurrir a ayudantes con la preparación necesaria.
Si bien los interesados se inscriben para incorporar nueva información y por las ganas de bailar, el objetivo primordial es el encuentro social y en eso estamos todos involucrados y mezclados: artistas, organizadores y participantes.
Luego de más de quince años de historia de estas manifestaciones, sumada la gran cantidad de oferta de milongas y seminarios de enseñanza por doquier, se ha creado una vasta red tanguera global que contiene a los que formamos esta nueva raza y permite que nos encontremos con gente de cualquier país a través del abrazo del tango, incluso sin hablar los diversos idiomas.
Para nosotros los docentes, es una experiencia interesante y muchas veces muy rica, ya que compartimos trabajo y espacios sociales con otros colegas, y tenemos la posibilidad de conocernos en un entorno diferente al habitual.
El tango crece día a día en progresión geométrica y bien vale la pena seguir generando estructuras que faciliten la interacción de los átomos de esta trama que se teje sin pausa con figuras de ochos y cuerpos entrelazados.

Festivals: the idea is to share .
For several years tango festivals and congresses have been the rage all over the world. The first encounter was in Stanford, USA, in 1991.
These events last several days and they are usually structured in schedules including: group classes, exhibitions by the teachers, milongas, shows, sale of products and eventually art exhibitions, films and lectures. The most popular ones summon people of various origins and promote participation. The "stars” of these events are the dancers-teachers, in couples or soloists, and their number depends on the magnitude of the event, but the students also have a fundamental role. The great success of tango today is one’s own experience. For this it is necessary to have an adequate foundation.
In some of these proposals the variety of professors with their diversity of styles abounds. To the students, above all the ones that are in their beginnings, it can be difficult to incorporate the different techniques of the teachers, which at times seem even opposite in their forms. To be able to choose which classes to take, a solution could be to elect instructors that maintain a stylistic similarity among them, and that turn out to be complementary in their essence. Also, the organizers try to balance the quantity of men and women registered in the classes so that the possible difference does not hamper the transfer of information. For this they resort to assistants with the necessary preparation.
Though those who register are interested in incorporating new information and they desire to dance, the fundamental objective is the social encounter and in that we are all involved and mixed: artists, organizers and participants.
After more than fifteen years of history in these events, added to the great offering of milongas and seminars everywhere, a vast global tango network has been created that contains us, who form this new race, and permits that we meet people from any country through the tango embrace, often without speaking the same language.
For us teachers, it is an interesting and often enriching experience, since we share work and social spaces with other colleagues, and we have the possibility to get to know each other in a different environment from the habitual one.
Tango grows day by day in geometric progression and it is well worth it to continue to generate structures that facilitate the interaction of the atoms of this design that weaves itself without pause with ochos and intertwined bodies.
